Pastor James A. Terzo

(March 12, 1912 - December 5, 2007)

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21: 1-4

The preceding was just one of Pastor Terzo's favorite verses... A lover of the Word... A doer of the Word! We shall dearly miss him and will always remember him with fondness! This page is brought to you in loving memory of our dear Pastor Terzo.

His dedication and love for people was never in question. The faith he had in his Heavenly Father, no matter the circumstances will always be an example of what God longs to do for us. God blessed him with many years of good health, and in love he gave it back to Him who gave it! Like Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah's spirit, I'd like a double portion of the spirit and faith of Elder Terzo.

Memories:

His always being there early for church, setting up the chairs for the Sabbath school class. He was always apologizing for not being at church or paying his tithe, when layup in the hospital or at home. Everything was for the Lord!

In talking with Pastor Pagan after he married Elder Terzo and Jean, he said Elder Terzo gave him the sermon he had used when he married my wife and I over 23 years ago.

He not only married my wife and I, he also dedicated all our children. We couldn't have asked for anyone better!

I will really miss Pastor Terzo. He always seemed to know the right thing to say and do. Probably because he was constantly being lead by the Holy Spirit! I will miss his smile most of all! He was a bright light in a dim world!
