Read the Bible in 90 Days!
.

Are you feeling compelled to saturate yourself in the Word of God?  Are you being called to read the Bible through?  Have you tried one-year-plans only to get stuck on Leviticus?  If so, you might like to try this 90 day plan.  Imagine, committing to reading the entire Bible in 90 days and actually accomplishing it!  It will be a season of refreshment you will not regret!  ... And, it's not as difficult as you might think!  You will be reading an estimated 30-60 minutes per day.
Just think, in the time it takes to watch a single show on television, you will be spending quality time with the God of the Universe and learning what He has for you in His Word!

Here are some pointers for your success:
  1. Read attentively, every word of the Bible.  Do not skim.
  2. You might want to try using an, unmarked, large print, reading Bible rather than your study Bible.   Read it, as you would a novel. Don't worry about marking your Bible unless you must.  If something impresses you, simply pencil it in, on the margin.  You can always transfer it to your study Bible later.
  3. After doing your reading for the day or week you may want to journal or blog your insights on how the Bible passages are meaningful to you.  It's best not to do it as you read, as you may not finish your reading, if you are constrained for time.
  4. You may want to get a "traveling companion" or study group to help you be accountable to.  This way, you may be apt to stick with it, rather than going it alone.
  5. Be committed. Did you know that we are commanded to give attendance to reading, exhortation, and doctrine?  (1 Timothy 4:13)
  6. If you are a busy mom, why not LISTEN to the Word of God online, when you get the chance, while you fold or mend clothes or wash dishes? Others at work or driving may be able to listen to an MP3, tape or CD, as well, if your, occasional, busy schedule doesn't afford enough time to do the reading.  Listening is also good even if you have done the reading!  It helps to reinforce the reading.
  7. Click the link below and you can print out a copy of the schedule.  Keep it in your Bible or near your computer. If you have GoogleDocs and would like an online copy to mark or keep notes please EMAIL me.  Check off the days as you read them. Try not to miss a day, but if you do, there are two free days built in.
  8. Pray before you begin each day's reading asking the Holy Spirit to help you stay with it and to bring refreshment as you study God's Holy Word!
  9. Let me know that you are embarking on this journey.  The prayer team and I will encourage you and keep you in prayer!
May God richly bless you as you embark on this awesome journey!
Bon Voyage!
